Brittany

Just spent 10 days in France, which was lovely. Most of it was in Brittany on the west coast — gorgeous rolling hills, absolutely charming walled midieval cities, and great train service that whooshed us everywhere fast, comfortably, and on time. Wowza.

Food: excellent. Buckwheat crepes. Delicious entrecote of beef. Killer Vietnamese nems. Excellent Algerian couscous. Tremendous ciders. And anything containing butter was sublime. They have very happy cows in western France!

Before the trip, I have to admit I was BUSY — in addition to my day job, I have been setting up a coaching and consulting practice on the side. It is great fun but it burns up all available mental space, energy — and time. I have been an absentee landlord here. I’ll start fixing that.
